Review

I've had the muchachos shawarma once before, same kind with the cheese, and I genuinely rank is the best shawarma I've had. The cheese gels everything inside the shawarma together nicely. It was on the spicy side but not to the level that I was left r e q u i r i n g water after eating it. Solid shawarma and I'll try their non cheese one as well next time to see how that tastes. P.S. A decent amount of cheese was in there and it made it creamy and added a different texture to it.

The Sallys' was a regular (good) experience as I've had many many times before. If I'm being honest, I kinda forgot to deeply register the taste of the food due to it feeling like comfort food. You know that you'll walk away at the worst satisfied and at the best having found your favorite burger (We have introduced Sallys' to people and they've felt this). From a practicality perspective, I think the burger had too much sauce going on. A slight press made it ooze out. Secondly, I think that the bun was sub par, it wasn't as soft as I remember or maybe I'm putting this burger on a vague, undefined pedestal that has not deviated from reality.

The wrap and loaded fries were great and best described as 'consistent'. I knew what I was getting into and I received that. Sallys' is definitely a recommended location for someone wanting loaded fries & a decent, filing wrap.

Ending Note: I've realized that reviewing food from a place such as Sallys' where I have been to countless times with different people in different circumstances is tricky. I can't ever go back to the first time I experienced their burger and met with the owner of the restaurant too. In my initial 4-5 visits the same waiter used to be there and he always recognized me (even if I had long or short hair) so being welcoming warmly with a happy face really adds to the experience as well. It it is the 'Food Service' Industry after all and the experience (service) and the memories you attach with a place matter a lot as well.
